Patti Salzmann serves as the Deputy Superintendent for the San Antonio Independent School District (SAISD) where she oversees the District’s school leadership and all academic programming, including college, career and military readiness, advanced academics, curriculum, instruction, and assessment, educational technology, fine arts, student and academic support services, social emotional learning, and guidance and counseling. Before becoming the District’s Deputy Superintendent, Patti served as SAISD’s Chief Academic Officer and as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Organizational Learning.
Prior to her commitment to San Antonio ISD, Patti served as the Executive Director for Curriculum and Instruction and Senior Director for School Improvement for North East ISD, also in San Antonio.
An educator for over 30 years, Patti has served in numerous roles, including classroom teacher, instructional specialist, campus administrator, and district science coordinator.
Patti has extensive experience with designing curriculum that transforms teaching and learning, developing sustainable high-performing teams, and coordinating and conducting professional learning for teachers, instructional coaches, and campus leaders.
