Looking for an alternative means to purchase your campus safety technology solutions? Join us to discuss K-12, higher education, and public safety grant funding landscapes. During this session we will identify current grant opportunities from federal, state and foundation agencies. This will include not only their deadlines, but also priorities, award amounts and examples of projects funded in the past. We will also discuss how to effectively justify the inclusion of technology equipment, such as building access systems, fixed surveillance and body-worn cameras into a grant budget. To conclude, we'll offer some general tips for writing a successful grant proposal to increase the likelihood your next proposal will stand out from the rest.

Session Sneak Peek

Learning Objective 1: Attendees will be able to identify sources of grant funding, along with listing individual grant opportunities, priorities, funding amounts, and deadlines of specific grants for K-12, higher education and public safety organizations.

Learning Objective 2: Attendees will be able to list campus safety technologies that are fundable with grants. They will also be able to recognize language stating if a grant is "technology-friendly" and explain how to justify technology purchases in a proposed budget.

Learning Objective 3: Attendees will be able to recite steps necessary to be "grant-seeking ready" and describe ten tips for securing more grant funds for their organization.
