Stephanie Bulawa, MSW is a School Social Worker in Douglas County School District in Colorado. She has been a School Social Worker for 15 years. In addition to that job, she also lead the Douglas County School District Crisis Team. She is in charge of deaths or large scale crisis events that occur in any of the 89 schools. She responds to crisis events at elementary, middle, and high school levels. She has worked on a number of community crisis events including school shootings. She has been the lead of this team for the last 8 years. Crisis work is a true passion of hers. She is part of several supporting committees including the Denver Metro Crisis Team, ESF 8 Emergency Response Team, and Douglas County Child Fatality Board. Working within the school setting and also within the community has been a very rewarding experience for her that has taught her invaluable skills and knowledge in her work.
She has a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology from Elmhurst College, in Illinois and a Master's Degree in Social Work from Aurora University in Illinois. She holds her school certification in the state of Colorado.
