Topics covered at Campus Safety East and West conferences include Title IX, immigration, campus carry, protests and more.
Campus Safety magazine has partnered with the International Association of Campus Law Enforcement Administrators (IACLEA) for a new executive forum series at Campus Safety Conference East and Campus Safety Conference West this summer.
Moderated by CS Executive Editor Robin Hattersley, IACLEA President Randy Burba and IACLEA President-Elect Dave Bousquet, these half-day open forums will facilitate dialog among participants as they discuss emerging trends and issues at colleges and universities. Topics covered will include the legalization of marijuana, mental illness, over-extended resources, federal and state Title IX legislation, international travel, global and regional travel bans, immigration and DACA, social justice, campus carry, and protests/demonstrations.
“IACLEA is excited to partner with our colleagues at Campus Safety magazine in bringing dialogue and discussion around persistent and emerging challenges facing our higher education law enforcement, public safety, security, student affairs, and administrators,” says Burba. “Higher education safety is a team effort, and having all the right stakeholders involved is the first step in identifying some best practices around our challenges.”
Higher education campus public safety chiefs, public safety/security directors, student affairs and deans are all encouraged to attend. The cost for this exclusive session is free, thanks to the generous support of our sponsor.*
The forums will take place at Campus Safety Conference East in Philadelphia on Wednesday, July 12, from 2:30 – 5 p.m.; and at Campus Safety Conference West in Long Beach, Calif., on Sunday, July 30, from 2:30 – 5 p.m. The IACLEA President’s Welcome and Reception will immediately follow both events.
